Typebound respects authors, publishers, readers, and the public-domain projects that make classic literature broadly available.

Personal uploads

Personal books are private to the reader account that uploaded them. Uploaders must confirm that they wrote the work, have permission, or may legally use it. Typebound does not grant rights to uploaded material.

Project Gutenberg editions

Bundled classic texts are retrieved from Project Gutenberg and link back to the relevant source edition. Project Gutenberg is independent from Typebound. Public-domain status may differ outside the United States; readers are responsible for local requirements.

Send a copyright notice

Email copyright@typebound.app with your name and contact details, identification of the protected work, the specific Typebound material or location at issue, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.

Typebound may ask for missing information, restrict the material while reviewing a complete notice, notify the affected user, and process a valid counter-notice where applicable. Misrepresenting infringement can create legal liability.

Counter-notices

A counter-notice should identify the removed material, explain in good faith why removal was mistaken, include the required consent to jurisdiction and service where applicable, and include a signature and reliable contact information. Seek legal advice if you are unsure about your rights.
